BRIEF PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS
*PISTON: This program consists of approximately 4-6 weeks of ground and flight training. Ground training consists of basic indoctrination to FAA air carrier Part 135 rules and regulations, company operations manual, aircraft systems, crew resource management, emergency procedures and hazardous material handling. Flight training consists of up to 4 hours in a simulator and approximately 5 hours including a FAA Second In Command check ride in the aircraft. The pilot can expect to fly approximately 70-100 hours per month.

*TURBINE: This program consists of approximately 4-6 weeks of ground and flight training. Ground training consists of basic indoctrination to FAA air carrier Part 135 rules and regulations, company operations manual, aircraft systems and turbine theory, crew resource management, emergency procedures and hazardous material handling. Turbine Program at Eagle Jet International Flight School using a Metroliner and Beech 1900

Depending on the aircraft, flight training consists of approximately 2-6 hours in a simulator and approximately 4 hours including a Part 135 FAA Second In Command check ride in the aircraft. The pilot can expect to fly approximately 55-95 hours per month. Some programs vary in their training syllabuses. Please contact EJ for further details.

*TURBOJET: This program consists of approximately 4-6 weeks of ground and flight training. Ground training consists of basic indoctrination to FAA air carrier Part 135 rules and regulations, company operations manual, aircraft systems and turbojet theory, crew resource management, emergency procedures and hazardous material handling. Turbojet Program using a Falcon20 and a LearJet from Eagle Jet International Flight School

Flight training consists of approximately 2-4 hours in a simulator and approximately 15-20 hours of training flown on the non-revenue segments of the trip plus a Part 135 FAA Second In Command check ride in the aircraft. The pilot can expect to fly approximately 40-60 hours per month.

*HEAVY JET: Main heavy jet programs are based in Europe and require the JAA Frozen ATPL.  Other heavy jet programs are based in Asia and are available to pilots holding an ICAO license (European JAA, US FAA, Transport Canada, Australian CASA, etc.).  No US based heavy jet programs. 

Depending on the base, the Operator Conversion Course includes ground school (basic indoctrination, emergency training, hands on drills, security training, hazardous materials, anti-drug, general subjects, Standard Operating Procedures, aircraft systems and performance) and flight training (flying pilot and non-flying pilot in a flight simulator with Operator Proficiency Check). 

Pilots start Line Training during passenger airline operations upon satisfactory completion of the Operator Conversion Course.
